Middlebury received all but one first-place vote in this week’s USCHO.com Division III men’s poll. Moving up one spot to No. 2 was Manhattanville, which received the only other first-place vote.
Norwich dropped from second to third in the poll after a tie with Amherst college over the weekend. With a win, and a tie with Wisconsin-Superior, St. Norbert remained at No. 4. Superior, at 6-0-3, moved up two places to fifth.
St. John’s, with seven wins, and no losses or ties, stayed at No. 7. Moving up one spot to seventh was RIT, after a tie with Hobart and a win over Neumann.
SUNYAC leader Fredonia improved to No. 8, up three places from last week, while Wisconsin-River Falls dropped to No. 9, after a loss to Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Curry, despite two wins, dropped one place to tenth. Oswego, with a win over Buffalo State, but a loss at Fredonia, also dropped one place to No. 11.
Undefeated Trinity moved up one place to No. 12, swapping positions with St. Thomas, which dropped despite a pair of wins on the weekned. Hobart, with a tie against RIT and a narrow win over Lebanon Valley, stayed at No. 14.
In its second week at No. 15, Bethel stayed in the poll after two wins over the weekend.
Also receiving votes were Bowdoin, Geneseo, Lake Forest, Wentworth, Colby, Babson, St. Olaf, and Wisconsin-Stout.
The USCHO.com Men’s Division III poll is compiled by U.S. College Hockey Online, and consists of 15 voters, including coaches and beat writers from across the country.
