With top-seeded teams advancing in their respective conference tournaments, there was little movement among the top spots in Monday’s USCHO.com/CSTV Division I men’s poll.
Colorado College retained the No. 1 spot after a sweep of St. Cloud State, receiving 26 of 40 first-place votes.
Denver (three first-place votes) was again No. 2 after sweeping Michigan Tech, and No. 3 Cornell held its ground, getting 10 first-place nods after a two-game series win over Clarkson.
Likewise, Michigan (one first-place vote) was again fourth with its sweep of Notre Dame, though Boston College moved into a tie for No. 4 with the Wolverines after two victories over Massachusetts. Minnesota stayed in sixth by sweeping Minnesota State.
New Hampshire, which won two decisive victories over Northeastern, moved up three spots to No. 7, followed by Harvard, which also climbed three positions with a sweep of St. Lawrence.
Boston University held fast at No. 9 after winning two of three games from Providence, but Ohio State dropped three spots to No. 10 in the wake of a three-game series win over Ferris State.
Wisconsin, which also needed three games to advance past Alaska-Anchorage, was down three to No. 11, followed by Maine, which held at No. 12 after a sweep of Massachusetts-Lowell, which dropped out of the Top 15.
North Dakota moved up one spot to No. 13 after winning two straight against Minnesota-Duluth, and Colgate re-entered the poll at No. 14 in the wake of a sweep of Brown. Rounding out the rankings was Northern Michigan, which beat Western Michigan in three games last weekend.
