With a road sweep of Minnesota last weekend, Wisconsin picked up one last first-place vote to be this Monday’s unanimous No. 1 pick in the USCHO.com/CSTV Networks Division I men’s poll.
The Badgers, who have not lost in 14 games, were followed by Miami, which swept Michigan to finish up six spots at No. 2, and then by Vermont, which tied New Hampshire before beating Massachusetts-Lowell Friday and Saturday.
In fourth was Colorado College, down from second after being swept by Denver, and North Dakota was No. 5, rising four spots in the wake of a sweep of Michigan Tech.
Boston College was again sixth; the Eagles split a home-and-home with Boston University over the weekend. No. 7 was Michigan, down from third, and Minnesota fell four spots to eighth.
Cornell picked up two spots to finish at No. 9 after beating Princeton and Quinnipiac, and Maine lost its sole game last weekend to Providence and landed at No. 10.
Denver was No. 11, followed by New Hampshire, Colgate, St. Lawrence and then Harvard.
Clarkson made it four straight ECACHL teams in the teens by coming in at No. 16, trailed by Bemidji State, Boston University, and then two debuting teams — Providence and Nebraska-Omaha — to round out the poll.
Falling out since last Monday were Alaska-Fairbanks and Ferris State.
