After 10 years of service to the ECAC, Steve Wisnowski has resigned as Ice Hockey Officiating Coordinator to pursue other opportunities, according to conference officials.
“Steve has done an admirable job of assigning and supervising our roster of officials during his tenure,” said senior associate commissioner Stephen R. Bamford. “We wish him, and his family, the best of luck.”
Wisnowski served as the coordinator of officials for the ECAC Men’s and Women’s West Ice Hockey Leagues, Niagara University, Robert Morris University and the SUNYAC. During his tenure he assisted in the transition of the 1-2 officiating system to the 2-1 system and the use of internet based officiating assignment systems.
Effective immediately, the ECAC will be accepting applications for Wisnowski’s successor. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
The ECAC sponsors five Division III ice hockey leagues (Men’s East, Men’s West, Northeast, Women’s East and Women’s West) and is responsible for the assignment of officials for Niagara University, the NESCAC, Robert Morris University and the SUNYAC as well as the five ECAC ice hockey leagues.
