The Badgers are up to fourth, their highest ranking since Oct. 23, 2006, the first month of the season after they won the national championship.
The Bulldogs are ranked sixth, matching their highest ranking of the season and one spot off their highest ranking ever.
The teams tied 2-2 on Sunday, but Wisconsin won the tournament with a 2-1 shootout victory.
Miami continues to lead the poll, with 45 of the 50 first-place votes. No. 2 Denver was tops on the other five ballots.
Maine and Vermont entered the poll at Nos. 18 and 19, respectively.
Notre Dame, No. 20 in the poll entering the holiday break, fell out of the rankings despite a shootout victory over No. 5 North Dakota for the title of the Shillelagh Tournament.
New Hampshire also dropped out after a loss to No. 8 Cornell on Sunday.
There are only three games between ranked teams in the coming week. No. 13 Minnesota-Duluth hosts No. 3 Colorado College on Friday and Saturday, while No. 12 Quinnipiac hosts No. 17 Union on Saturday.
