Note: Usually we’ll have Tyler’s picks here too; however, outside circumstances prevented him from getting his picks in this week.
Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16
North Dakota @ Bemidji State: Split. Bemidji takes the arena opener and the Sioux come back the next night.
Minnesota State @ Michigan Tech: Split. The Huskies continue to ride their hot streak and take Friday, while the Mavericks refocus and get their first win on Saturday.
Nebraska-Omaha @ Minnesota: Split. This could go either way either night, but we’ll go with UNO Friday, Minnesota Saturday.
Boston College @ Denver: Split. Inclined to call a BC sweep here, but I’ll give a nod to the hometown team stepping it up here. DU Friday, BC Saturday.
Miami @ St. Cloud State: Split. Two good teams facing off against each other logically means split. SCSU Friday, Miami Saturday.
Providence @ Minnesota-Duluth: Duluth sweep.
Friday, October 15
Colorado College vs. Alaska-Anchorage (Alaska Goal Rush): CC wins. Yeah, it’s hard traveling up to Alaska, but the Tigers are the better team.
Alabama-Huntsville @ Wisconsin: I’m glad that the Badgers scheduled this series so that the Chargers can keep playing. That being said, UW takes this one.
Saturday, October 16
Union vs. Alaska-Anchorage (Alaska Goal Rush): This one’s tough. I’m inclined to think the Seawolves will take at least one game of this tournament, but Union may be too good. So, Union takes this.
Colorado College vs. Alaska (Alaska Goal Rush): Again, tough, but I’m going with the WCHA on this one. Win Tigers.
Sunday, October 17
Alabama-Huntsville @ Wisconsin: Just like Friday, the Badgers take this one and sweep the series.
