Minnesota-Duluth assistant Larson takes USHL gig

The USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers announced that Brett Larson has been named the team’s head coach and general manager.

Larson joins the Musketeers after serving as the associate coach at Minnesota-Duluth for the past three seasons.

“This is a dream come true to be the head coach of the Sioux City Musketeers,” said Larson in a statement. “While I’m sad to leave a great program at UMD, I couldn’t have created a better environment to start my head coaching career. The United States Hockey League is a proven development path for elite hockey players and coaches, and I’m glad to continue the great tradition of Musketeer hockey.”
