Men’s D-I poll has Boston College retaining top spot

Boston College, with 47 of 50 first-place votes, remains the nation’s top-ranked team in this week’s USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll.

Denver stays at No. 2 and received two first-place votes, while New Hampshire jumps two spots to No. 3 and garnered the other first-place vote.

Minnesota, down from No. 3, is fourth this week, followed by Miami, down one place from No. 4 last week.

Notre Dame is up two to No. 6, North Dakota drops one to No. 7, Union falls one spot to sit eighth this week, Western Michigan holds steady at No. 9 and Boston University rises one to No. 10.

Dartmouth moves up one place to No. 11, St. Cloud State jumps three to No. 12, Cornell falls three to sit 13th, Colorado College remains 14th and Nebraska-Omaha jumps three to No. 15 this week.

At No. 16, Ferris State climbs four, Harvard stays 17th, Quinnipiac enters the rankings at No. 18, Michigan tumbles six to No. 19 and previously-unranked Niagara gets into the top 20 this week at No. 20.

In addition, 12 other teams received votes.

The USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.
