Men’s D-I poll has Minnesota garnering 38 of 50 first-place votes

Five teams garnered first-place votes in this week’s USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll, but with 38 of 50 first-place votes, Minnesota stays atop the rankings.

Notre Dame jumps one spot to No. 2 and received eight first-place votes, trading places with Boston College, which recorded one first-place nod this week.

New Hampshire earned a first-place vote and remains fourth, followed by No. 5 Quinnipiac, which tallied two first-place votes.

Miami and North Dakota stay No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, while Boston University is up one to No. 8, Denver jumps a pair to No. 9 and Western Michigan holds firm in the tenth slot.

Minnesota State rises three to sit 11th, Dartmouth tumbles four to No. 12, Nebraska-Omaha jumps three to No. 13, as is Yale at No. 14, followed by Cornell falling three to No. 15.

At No. 16, Union is down three, Niagara is up one to No. 17 and St. Cloud State falls three to No. 18.

Previously-unranked Colgate (No. 19) and Massachusetts-Lowell (No. 20) enter the poll this week to round out the top 20.

The USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.
