Boston College coach York resting at home after follow-up eye procedure

In a school-issued statement, it was announced that Boston College head coach Jerry York is resting comfortably at home after undergoing a follow-up procedure Monday morning to repair a detached retina.

York underwent an initial procedure last Thursday and missed BC’s weekend series against New Hampshire.

Boston College’s celebration to honor York for becoming college hockey’s winningest coach, which was originally scheduled for this Friday, Jan. 18, has been postponed with a rescheduled date to be determined.

Associate head coaches Mike Cavanaugh and Greg Brown will continue to lead the Eagles in York’s absence.
