Norwich a near-unanimous top pick in men’s D-III rankings

With 19 first-place votes, Norwich is once again the top-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll.

Norwich beat New England College and St. Anselm last weekend.

Oswego and Bowdoin trade places this week, with Oswego moving to No. 2 after beating Morrisville last weekend and Bowdoin losing to Amherst and defeating Hamilton.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire is up one to No. 4 and earned the other first-place vote after getting wins against Wisconsin-Stout and Wisconsin-River Falls. Hobart stays fifth after a split with Utica.

After losing to St. Scholastica and then beating Wisconsin-Superior, St. Norbert is down two places to No. 6. Adrian beat and tied Lake Forest and remains seventh this week.

Utica is again eighth after the Hobart split, Plattsburgh stays ninth after beating Buffalo State and losing to Fredonia and Amherst is up one to No. 10 with a win over Bowdoin and a tie against Colby.

Massachusetts-Boston rises one spot to No. 11 after wins over Skidmore and Castleton, Williams lost to Trinity and tied Wesleyan and falls one to No. 12, while Manhattanville remains 13th after beating and tying Neumann.

Geneseo enters the rankings this week at No. 14 with wins over Brockport and Canton and Milwaukee School of Engineering is back in the poll at No. 15 after sweeping Concordia (Wis.).

The USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 20 voters, including 18 coaches of Division III programs and two men’s hockey writers.
