The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that they have agreed to terms with New Hampshire junior defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on a free-agent, two-year contract.

Van Riemsdyk tallied four goals and 23 points in 26 games this season with the Wildcats and 75 points total in 102 games with UNH from 2011 to 2014.

Last year, he was named a First-Team All-American and Hockey East First-Team All-Star and to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team following the 2011-12 campaign.
