More Hockey East awards were doled out Thursday night as Boston University freshman Jack Eichel took home both the 2015 Warrior Player of the Year and Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Year awards.

It is the first time both awards have gone to the same player since the 1992-93 season when Maine’s Paul Kariya took home the honors and just the third time one skater has won the top accolades in league history (Brian Leetch with Boston College in 1986-87).

Eichel is the nation’s leading scorer, racking up 61 points on 20 goals and 41 assists in 34 games this season, and also leads the NCAA in plus-minus with a plus-42 rating to date.

BU head coach David Quinn was voted the Bauer Coach of the Year by his peers and will receive the Bob Kullen Award after guiding the Terriers to a 14-5-3 league record and the No. 1 seed in the Hockey East playoff just one year after finishing ninth in 2013-14.

The first round of Hockey East awards was announced Wednesday.

In addition, the conference also announced its two All-Star teams and a team of honorable mentions.
