Brian Mahoney-Wilson and Mason Graddock have been added to the Notre Dame staff.
Mahoney-Wilson will be the team’s new volunteer assistant coach, while Graddock will serve as the hockey and programming intern.
“We’re excited to have both Brian and Mason join our staff,” Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson said in a news release. “Brian will do a great job as one of our assistants working with our goaltenders and our special teams and we’re excited to add a Lake State alum to the staff.”
Mahoney-Wilson joins the Irish after spending the 2014-15 season as a volunteer assistant coach/goaltending coach with Army. Prior to Army, Mahoney-Wilson was an assistant coach/goaltending coach with the South Shore Kings of the United States Premier Hockey League in 2013-14. He graduated from Lake Superior State in 2011 and was a four-year goaltender for the Lakers.
Graddock spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Middlebury, where he was the head of recruiting and worked closely with the team’s forwards. Graddock helped the Panthers to the 2006 Division III NCAA championship as well as another NCAA title-game appearance in 2007.
“Mason comes to us from a tremendously successful program in Middlebury, after having worked for a great coach in Bill Beaney,” Jackson added. “I’m really excited to have two younger guys around here that will certainly make a difference with our staff and players.”
