The NCHC has issued a one-game suspension to Western Michigan freshman forward Jade McMullen after an illegal hit during the Broncos game at Clarkson on Saturday, Oct. 24.
McMullen was suspended after a review of a play in which a hit was delivered to the back of a Clarkson player at 14:40 of the second period Saturday at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, N.Y.
A major penalty for hitting from behind and a game misconduct was issued on the play.
McMullen will be required to serve the suspension during Western Michigan’s next game on Friday, Oct. 30 against Nebraska-Omaha. McMullen is eligible to return for the finale of the conference series against the Mavericks on Saturday, Oct. 31.
