NCHC suspends North Dakota’s Caggiula one game after illegal hit against Colorado College

The NCHC has issued a one-game suspension to North Dakota senior forward Drake Caggiula stemming from an illegal hit during UND’s game at Colorado College on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Caggiula was suspended after a review of a play in which a hit was delivered to the head of a Colorado College player at 14:01 of the second period Saturday at The Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.

A major penalty for contact to the head and a game misconduct was issued on the play.

Caggiula will serve the suspension during North Dakota’s next game on Friday, Nov. 6, against Wisconsin before being eligible to return for the series finale against the Badgers on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Grand Forks, N.D.
