Atlantic Hockey gives one-game suspensions to Robert Morris’ Moore, Holy Cross’ Ferrill

Atlantic Hockey has announced one-game suspensions for Robert Morris sophomore forward Timmy Moore and Holy Cross sophomore forward Ryan Ferrill.

Both players were assessed suspensions following their actions in their respective games on Dec. 5.

Moore was issued the suspension after the league reviewed footage from last Saturday’s game at Rochester Institute of Technology. Moore was whistled for a high sticking penalty in the second period, but AHC supervisor of officials Eugene Binda and commissioner Robert DeGregorio determined that the correct call should have been “contact to the head” and thus have suspended Moore for one game as supplemental discipline. He will be unable to play in Robert Morris’ next game against Canisius on Dec. 12.

Ferrill received a major penalty for spearing and a game misconduct in the first period against Mercyhurst last Saturday. He was handed down an additional one-game suspension through the league’s supplemental discipline process and will be forced to sit in the Crusaders’ next game on Dec. 11 at Bentley.
