Northeastern freshman Cotton withdraws from school, leaves team

Northeastern announced Monday that freshman forward Jason Cotton has withdrawn from the university.

“On behalf of the entire Northeastern hockey community, I would like to wish Jason the best in his future endeavors,” said Huskies’ coach Jim Madigan in a statement. “I enjoyed working with Jason and I believe he will have a successful future in whichever path he chooses.”

Cotton skated in eight games for the Huskies during the 2015-16 season, totaling eight shots on goal and one penalty for two minutes. He was one of seven freshmen on Northeastern’s 2015-16 roster.
