Niagara’s Farmer gets additional game suspension from Atlantic Hockey after review of DQ penalty

Atlantic Hockey announced Tuesday that Niagara sophomore forward Nick Farmer, who is already suspended for Friday’s contest against American International due to his disqualification penalty from last Saturday’s game, will be suspended an additional game as supplemental discipline.

Farmer was whistled for a major penalty for roughing and a disqualification penalty four minutes into the second period. The disqualification penalty by itself carries a one-game suspension, but after reviewing Farmer’s actions, league officials determined that an additional game was warranted in this situation.

Farmer will be unavailable to play in Niagara’s series versus AIC this weekend at Dwyer Arena.
