The Wisconsin athletic board met Friday afternoon and both hockey head coaches had contract extensions approved.
Men’s coach Tony Granato’s five-year contract was extended through June 30, 2022, and women’s coach Mark Johnson’s five-year contract was extended through June 30, 2022.
Granato led the Badgers to a 20-15-1 mark in 2016-17, while Johnson guided Wisconsin to a 33-3-4 record and a national championship runner-up finish.
