We enter the final weekend of January with a few intriguing matchups on the docket. All games are at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Friday, January 26
Yale at Clarkson
When the last time these two teams met, the Golden Knights defeated the Bulldogs 4-1 in New Haven. Yale has been playing better of late since that Nov. 11 match-up. Clarkson looks to get back to their winning ways. Golden Knights win.
Colgate at Dartmouth
This is a big game for both teams as they are tied in the standings with 13 points each for fifth place. Scoring should come at premium as the Big Green are 50th in team offense in the nation while the Raiders are 52nd. Dartmouth has a winning record at home. The Big Green is victorious.
Cornell at Harvard
Another big game in terms of standings purposes as Cornell is tied in first with Clarkson at 21 points while the Crimson is in third with 19 points. This is a big game for the Crimson with their slow start. I expect another close game between these two. Harvard wins.
Brown at St. Lawrence
The Bears only have two wins since Dec. 2 and this is a good opportunity to pick up their third against the Saints. With the way Brown is playing, St. Lawrence are hoping they can pick up their first conference victory. The Bears win.
Saturday, January 27
Rensselaer vs. Union at Albany, N.Y., 6 p.m.
The two rivals meet in New York’s state capital for a non conference tilt. The two conference games early this year were close with the Dutchmen winning 4-2 and 4-3. I don’t think that the third meeting will change that. The Dutchmen take the Mayor’s Cup.
Brown at Clarkson
The Bears had some success when they hosted the Golden Knights in Providence earlier this year as they lost 5-3. Before this past weekend, Brown was the last team to pot in three goals against Clarkson. Still I like Clarkson’s chances. Golden Knights win.
Cornell at Dartmouth
Dartmouth is 2-1 this season versus the No. 2 team in the USCHO poll as my colleague Nate Owen in this week’s column. They split against Denver and beat Clarkson last weekend. Cornell arrives to Hanover as the No. 2 team in the nation on Saturday. I think the Big Green falls to .500. Cornell wins.
Colgate at Harvard
The Crimson’s offense is clicking, but they be facing one of the better goalies in the country in Colton Point who only allowed one goal the last time these teams faced. Although this is a different Harvard team than the one in November. The Crimson win.
Yale at St. Lawrence
The Bulldogs opened the floodgates in November when they beat the Saints 6-1. Yale is playing solid hockey again here in late January. The Bulldogs win.
Tuesday, Jan 30
Princeton at Quinnipiac
The two travel partners meet for a midweek game and both are coming off an extended break. Both teams are trying to get something going in the second half of the season. The teams are separated by one point in the standings. I will take the home team. Quinnipiac wins.
