No. 1 Wisconsin vs No. 6 Ohio State
Emma Maltais scored the only goal on Friday, giving the Buckeyes a 1-0 upset win over the Badgers — their first since Feb. 14, 2015. Wisconsin outshot OSU, 12-2, in the first, but Ohio State responded, outshooting the Badgers, 21-2, in the second. On Saturday, Ohio State completed their first sweep of Wisconsin in nearly eight years with a 3-1 win. Maltais, Charly Dahlquist, and Tatum Skaggs scored for the Buckeyes. Alexis Mauermann was the goal scorer for the Badgers.
Brown at No. 2 Clarkson
Michael Pejzlová, Loren Gabel, Elizabeth Giguère, and Savannah Harmon each had a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights in this 4-0 win.
Yale at No. 2 Clarkson
Gabel and Giguère, combined for Clarkson’s two goals en route to their 2-1 win. Greta Skarzysnki scored for Yale, but the Elis were not able to complete a comeback.
No. 4 Colgate at Dartmouth
Tess Bracken had Dartmouth up first with a five-on-three power-play goal, but it was all Colgate from there on out. Megan Sullivan, Jessie Eldridge, and Breanne Wilson-Bennett scored in the first, and Wilson-Bennett and Malia Schneider potted in the third to give Colgate the 5-1 win.
No. 4 Colgate at Harvard
Jessie Eldridge scored twice and added an assist in Colgate’s 4-0 win over the Crimson.
No. 5 Cornell at Harvard
Cornell outshot Harvard, 43-25, and had a 2-0 lead after the first thanks to Kendra Nealy and Brianna Veerman, but the Crimson clawed their way back. Keely Moy scored in the second and Kat Hughes scored with just 56 seconds left in the game to earn the tie for Harvard.
No. 5 Cornell at Dartmouth
Veerman, Joie Phelps, and Paige Lewis had Cornell up 3-0 at the second-period break. Tess Bracken got one back for Dartmouth, but it was not enough as the Big Red won 3-1.
No. 7 Minnesota at St. Cloud State
On Friday, Minnesota had a 3-1 lead 12 minutes into the third period thanks to goals from Taylor Williamson, Olivia Knowles, and Caitlin Reilly. but Kayla Friesen and Julia Tylke scored within 41 seconds of each other in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime. Friesen scored the only goal in the shootout to earn the extra conference point for the Huskies. Lindsay Agnew opened up the scoring on Saturday before Hallie Theodosopoulos tied it up for St. Cloud. Agnew scored again to give the Gophers a 2-1 lead after one. From there, it was pretty much all Minnesota. Sydney Baldwin scored twice and Cara Piazza added a goal of her own en route to the Gophers’ 5-2 win.
Yale at No. 8 St. Lawrence
St. Lawrence scored four times in the second period and that was too much for Yale to come back from. Hannah Miller had two goals, and Skylar Podvey had two assists to lead St. Lawrence. Courtney Pensavalle and Emma Vlasic got two for Yale in response, but they couldn’t complete the comeback. The Saints won 4-2.
Brown at No. 8 St. Lawrence
Hannah Miller and Dakota Golde each had a pair of goals for the Saints as they defeated Brown, 5-1. Kaitijane Blumberg scored the lone goal for Brown.
Merrimack at No. 9 Providence
Annie Boeckers and Katelyn Rae each had a goal and an assist to lead Merrimack to a 4-1 upset over Providence. The Lady Friars outshot Merrimack, 39-20, but their lone goal from Kate Friesen was not enough.
No. 9 Providence at Connecticut
Christina Putigna had Providence up 1-0 after the first, but Connecticut’s Theresa Knutson and Briana Colangelo responded in the second to put Connecticut up 2-1 heading into the third. Kathleen McHugh tied it up for Providence and forced overtime, but Colangelo won it for the Huskies in overtime, giving them their fourth straight win.
