One of the victims of a bus crash that killed 14 members of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team on Friday was a former Northern Michigan player.
Broncos coach and general manager Darcy Haugan played six games for the Wildcats in the 1996-97 season with two goals and one assist, according to team records.
Haugan died when the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League team’s bus en route to a playoff game collided with a semi-trailer outside of Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed to CBC News that 14 people had been killed and 15 others were injured.
