ECAC Hockey announced Wednesday the appointment of Steve Bobarakis as assistant commissioner.Bobarakis begins his duties July 25.“I am excited that Steve is joining the ECAC Hockey staff,” said ECAC Hockey commissioner Stephen Hagwell in a statement. “Steve is a very talented young man who brings a very strong skill set to the league. I look forward to working with him.”Bobarakis spent the 2017-18 academic year serving as the interim director of athletic communications at Brockport, where he also earned his master’s degree in athletic administration. Prior to serving in the interim director’s role, Bobarakis served as assistant director of athletic communications.In addition to his time at Brockport, Bobarakis spent four years as an athletic communications assistant at Oswego, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree.
