CHA suspends Penn State’s Madsen, RIT’s Vulgar one game for separate infractions

College Hockey America has suspended Penn State’s Brooke Madsen and RIT’s Christa Vuglar one game for supplemental discipline.

Both players will be unavailable for their teams when they take the ice later today.

Both players were suspended after plays from last evening’s games were reviewed by the league office.

For Madsen, the play in question should have warranted a major and game misconduct, but only received a minor penalty, thus the discipline.

In Vuglar’s case, the call on the ice was tripping, but the action warranted a slew-footing major and a game misconduct.

Madsen will miss today’s series finale against Mercyhurst while Vuglar will have to sit against Syracuse.
