The start time for the March 9 WCHA quarterfinal playoff game between Alabama Huntsville and Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn., has been moved up three hours to 4:07 p.m. CST due to forecasted heavy snowfall, high winds and icy conditions in southern Minnesota on Saturday evening.
WCHA commissioner Bill Robertson announced the change Friday morning after consultation with the athletics directors and head coaches of the two schools.
The time change affects only Game 2 of the best-of-three series. The 7:07 p.m. CST start times for the first and third games remain unchanged.
