St. Cloud Falls Behind, Regroups for 3-1 Win over Bemidji

For the second straight game, Bemidji State jumped ahead of a WCHA team on home ice. But for the second straight game, the bottom then fell out.

Clay Simmons scored 6:14 into the first period for the Beavers, but St. Cloud State scored the last three goals of the game in a 3-1 victory in the teams’ first meeting in Bemidji since the 1986-87 season.

Tyler Arnason tied the game before Mark Hartigan scored the game-winner and Mike Walsh added insurance in the second period for the Huskies.

Last Saturday, the Beavers jumped ahead of Minnesota 1-0, only to lose 9-3.

St. Cloud outshot Bemidji 38-29.
