Bethel Capitalizes On Power-Play Chances, Downs St. John’s

Eleven penalties for 33 minutes hurt St. John’s, which fell to Bethel, 5-3, in the teams’ MIAC opener at Columbia Arena.

The Royals scored three times on eight power-play chances, including the game-winner by Dennis Gould with 9:27 remaining.

Jake Froiland scored two goals and Chad Hacker added a pair of assists to lead St. John’s. Gould and Mike Marshall each scored twice for Bethel.
