Mercyhurst got two goals in the first period and held off American International, 2-0, on Friday evening.

AIC goaltender Chance Thede stopped 34 of 36 Laker shots while Peter Aubry stopped all 26 Yellowjacket shots. Aubry has now held the opponent scoreless in the last 89:52.
Mercyhurst goes to 3-1-0, 3-0-0 MAAC, and AIC is now 1-5-0, 1-2-0 MAAC. The two teams will once again face each other on Saturday evening.
