Three-Goal Third Keys Lake Forest Win Over Eau Claire

Lake Forest beat Wisconsin-Eau Claire 4-1 Friday night by scoring three times in the third period.

Ian Sgambelluri scored at the 4:07 mark of the second period, but Lake Forest countered less than three minutes later on Frankie DeMasi’s unassisted goal to tie the score.

Tom Dutton’s unassisted goal at 9:22 of the third period was the game-winner, and Mark Holmes and Mark Grumetza scored additional goals. Grumetza’s goal was shorthanded.

Jon Walker stopped 34 shots in goal for the Blugolds while Mason Black turned away 27 for Lake Forest.
