Carosi Gives Bowdoin OT Win

Mike Carosi scored the game-winning goal with 2:34 left in overtime as fifth-seeded Bowdoin defeated No. 4 Trinity, 4-3, in the NESCAC first round Saturday.

Chris Pelletier scored a shorthanded goal for Bowdoin with just over three minutes left in the third period to send the game into overtime. It was his second goal of the game.

Trinity successfully killed off a power play by the Polar Bears near the midpoint of the 20-minute overtime.

But Carosi took a pass from Chris Pelletier and beat Trinity goalie Geoffrey Faulkner.

Steven LaBrie scored two goals for Trinity in the first period and Mark Colwell added a third for the Bantams in the second period.

Pelletier scored Bowdoin’s other two goals.
