Gagliardi’s power-play goal sends No. 3 Cornell past Princeton

Alyssa Gagliardi broke a 1-1 tie with a second-period, power-play goal, and No. 3 Cornell beat Princeton 3-1 on Friday.

Rebecca Johnson added an empty-net goal with 15 seconds left for the Big Red (6-1, 5-1 ECAC Hockey), which got 17 saves from Lauren Slebodnick.

Rachel Weber made 36 saves for the Tigers (4-4-1, 3-3-1).

Emily Fulton gave Cornell the lead early in the second period, but Danielle DiCesare responded for Princeton.
