Ring-Jarvi’s goal, two assists, all offense needed for Gustavus Adolphus in win over MSOE

Behind a goal and two assists from Ross Ring-Jarvi, No. 6 Gustavus Adolphus beat No. 8 Milwaukee School of Engineering, 3-1. In addition to the production fro Ring-Jarvi, Nate Paulsen added a goal and assist, and John McLean made 16 saves.

Milwaukee got on the board first when Todd Krupa notched a power-play goal at 6:41 of the first. However, Ring-Jarvi then went to work, scoring less than two minutes later to tie the game at one.

Ryan Johnson gave the Gusties the lead just four minutes into the second with a power-play goal that was assisted by Paulsen and Ring-Jarvi. Paulsen added an empty-net goal at 19:57 of the third to eliminate any hope of a comeback by MSOE.

Gustavus Adolphus now travels to Ashwaubenon, Wis., to take on defending champion St. Norbert in a quarterfinal game. St. Norbert beat St. Thomas in the first round.
