Ryan scores twice in Brown’s victory over Princeton

Garnet Hathaway and Mark Naclerio tallied three points each, and Jeff Ryan netted two goals to lead Brown over Princeton 4-1 on Friday.

Hathaway and Ryan combined for three goals in the first two periods to give the Bears a commanding 3-0 lead.

With five-and-a-half minutes left in the third, Princeton coach Bob Prier called a timeout to pull Mike Condon for an extra attacker. While the Tigers generated some extra offense, Brown’s Naclerio tallied an empty-netter to increase the Bears’ lead to 4-0 at 15:44.

Goaltender Anthony Borelli stopped 32 out of 33 shots, surrendering only one goal to Andrew Calof at 17:06 of the third. Princeton goaltender Mike Condon made 33 saves.
