PRINCETON, N.J. — Jimmy Vesey scored twice and added an assist, and Tyler Moy tallied three points to lead Harvard to a 5-3 victory against Princeton Saturday night.
Sean Malone opened the scoring for Harvard at 13:37 of the first, poking home a rebound from Vesey and Moy.
After a scoreless second, Princeton knotted the game 1-1 as Aaron Ave scored on a feed from Tucker Brockett, who streaked from the penalty box to join Ave for an odd-man rush.
Harvard answered with three goals in less than three minutes, with goals by Moy, Kyle Criscuolo, and Vesey to take a 4-1 lead. But Princeton rallied back, as Aaron Kesselman and Tom Kroshus scored to bring the Tigers within one at 19:23.
As goaltender Sean Bonar was pulled for the extra attacker, the Crimson put the game away, with Vesey poking a turnover at the blue line into an empty net.
Steve Michalek made 32 saves in the victory for Harvard. Sean Bonar made 24 saves for Princeton.
