Maryanne Menefee scored the only goal in the first period, as Cameranesi set up the give and go between Brandt and Menefee, and Menefee finessed the puck over the blocker of goaltender Kimberly Newell.
The Gophers had the Tigers on their heels to begin the second, as a power play with 31 seconds remaining in the first period carried over. With the momentum going their way, Milica McMillen converted 29 seconds in as Brandt set up the tic-tac-toe with Kelly Pannek and McMillen. Then at 16:52, Cameranesi netted her 15th goal of the season assisted by Megan Wolfe and Sydney Baldwin.
The Tigers gained some life in the third on a power play of their own, as Molly Contini and Hilary Lloyd cycled the puck out to the point, and Kelsey Koelzer fired the puck through a screen in front to get Princeton on the board. But Minnesota recovered quickly and took back the momentum just over three minutes later, with two quick goals from Brandt and Rachael Bona.
Jaimie McDonell added a late goal for Princeton at 19:42, assisted by Maddie Peake and Koelzer.
Amanda Leveille improved to 12-1-1 overall in the win for the Gophers, stopping 19 of 21 shots. Newell made 47 saves for Princeton.
