ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Myles Powell scored two second-period goals, including the game-winner on a power play at 14:39, as RIT rallied to defeat Robert Morris, 6-3, and earn a split in the series.
RIT also got goals from Alexander Kuqali, Abbott Girduckis, Gabe Valenzuela, and a short-handed strike from Josh Mitchell.
After Kuqali scored at 2:20 of the first, Robert Morris took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on power-play strikes from Brandon Denham and David Friedmann.
Girduckis then tied it for RIT at just 2:15 of the second, and then Powell’s two goals gave the Tigers a 4-2 lead heading into the final frame.
Tigers goalie Christian Short made 21 saves in the win.
RIT improves to 4-8-2 overall and 4-3-1 in Atlantic Hockey play, while Robert Morris fell to 8-3-3 overall and 7-2-3 in Atlantic Hockey.
