PRINCETON, N.J. — Michael Garteig and Jacob Meyers combined for 24 saves, and Tim Clifton tallied four points as No. 3 Quinnipiac defeated Princeton 6-0 Tuesday night at Hobey Baker Rink.

Connor Clifton kicked off a five-goal first period for the Bobcats at 1:34, followed by K.J. Tiefenwerth, Derek Smith, Tim Clifton and Travis St. Denis.

Tanner MacMaster also added a goal for Quinnipiac, netting his first of the year at 2:03 of the second.

Gartieg made 21 saves to improve to 16-1-2 before being replaced by Meyers, who stopped three shots in the final 8:28 of the game.

Colton Phinney made 37 saves for Princeton.
