BURLINGTON, Vt. — Jonathan Turk scored on a short-handed breakaway in the second period, and Packy Munson earned his second shutout in four collegiate starts as Vermont beat Lake Superior State 1-0 on Tuesday.
It was the second game of the Catamount Cup; Brown beat Colgate 7-5 in the opener on a four-goal, six-point performance by Nick Lappin.
Munson made 14 saves in the final period for the Catamounts (6-12-2). Gordon Defiel stopped 29 shots for the Lakers (6-11-4).
