Junior Spencer Foo’s career-high four points, including his second hat trick of the season, lifted No. 6 Union past Dartmouth, 8-3, at Hanover, N.H.
The victory catapulted the Dutchmen (20-8-2 overall) back into first place in ECAC Hockey with a 13-4-1 record. Union’s 27 points are one more than Harvard, which defeated the Dutchmen on Friday, and two more than idle St. Lawrence.
Foo’s night helped him hit the 100-point milestone in his career, and senior Mike Vecchione picked up an assist to give him a Union-record 51 points this season. Four other players had multi-point games – Sebastian Vidmar, Cole Maier and Ryan Walker each had a goal and an assist, and Jeff Taylor added two assists. Jake Kupsky made a career-best 45 saves.
Four of the Dutchmen’s goals came on the power play – two by Foo and one each by Luc Brown and Vidmar – and Foo’s other goal was a shorthanded breakaway.
Troy Crema scored the final two goals of the game for Dartmouth, which also got a goal from Cam Strong.

Ted Hart scored two goals, including one on a rebound of his own shot with 5:21 to play, to rally the Bulldogs from an early 2-0 deficit at Ithaca, N.Y. Anthony Angello and Jeff Kubiak scored first-period goals for the Big Red, which received 35 saves from Mitch Gillam. Sam Tucker stopped 27 shots for Yale.
Princeton 3, Clarkson 2, OT
Derek Topatigh scored 1:58 into overtime to lift the Tigers over the Golden Knights at Princeton, N.J. Princeton, which fired 48 shots on goal, tied the score in the latter half of the third period on tallies by Josh Teves and Ryan Kuffner 5:05 apart. Prior to that the Tigers had struggled to solve Jake Kielly, who made 45 saves. Princeton’s Colton Phinney made 35 stops. Clarkson took a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals by Troy Josephs and Brett Gervais.
Colgate 2, Brown 1
Jacob Panetta scored with 47 seconds left to lift the Raiders over the Bears at Hamilton, N.Y. The teams traded goals early in the third period before Panetta struck off assists from Jared Cockrell and Mike Panowyk. Evan Peterson put Colgate on the board 4:49 into the third period, but Sam Lafferty answered for Brown just 39 seconds later. Colton Point made 20 saves for the Raiders, while Gavin Nieto stopped 25 shots for the Bears.
