COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the second consecutive night, No. 9 Ohio State jumped out to a 2-0 lead and came out victorious against Niagara at Value City Arena.
The Buckeyes got on the board a minute into Saturday’s game when sophomore defenseman Matt Miller scored. Ohio State extended its lead thanks to senior forward Matt Weis. He scored the Buckeyes’ next two goals.
The Purple Eagles leave the weekend without a win after nearly pulling off the upset on Friday. Junior forward Nick Farmer scored Niagara’s lone goal on Saturday late in the first period.
