Thanks to scoring four of the final five goals at Ingalls Rink, Yale earned its fourth victory in five games and second consecutive over a Hockey East foe. Joe Snively led the Bulldog offensive charge with two goals and an assist, including the game-winner 9:19 into the third period.

Jack Suter and Oliver Chau scored back-to-back goals to give UMass a 2-1 lead after the first period before the Elis finished the game hot offensively, holding a 32-18 shot advantage over the final two periods. Jake Gaudet brought the Minutemen within one at the third period’s 11:10 mark, but Snively scored an empty-net goal with 1:08 left in regulation. Corbin Kaczperski made 22 stops to seal the victory in his third collegiate start.

Chau finished with a goal and an assist for UMass. Matt Murray made 33 saves.
