Bo Pieper scored 22 seconds into overtime to lift the Bobcats to an overtime win in Hamilton, N.Y., after losing a 3-1 lead in the final minute of regulation time. It was Quinnipiac’s second consecutive win since ending the 2017 calendar year on a four-game winless streak, and its fourth ECAC win of the season.
After Adam Dauda put the Raiders on top at 14:38, QU responded with three straight goals before the second period was nine minutes old. Alex Whelan scored two of them.
Nick Austin and Dauda scored for the Raiders at the 19:12 and 19:38 markers of the third period, respectively, with goaltender Zac Hamilton (26 saves) pulled. The goals came on two of just eight Colgate shots in the frame, but the lone shot of overtime lifted the Bobcats to a win. Andrew Shortridge made 20 stops for the visitors.
