The Terriers overcame a pair of disallowed goals to score two unanswered goals in the second period and held on to claim a key Hockey East road win at Whittemore Center. U.S. Olympian-to-be Jordan Greenway scored the game-winning goal 18:50 into the middle frame before Jake Oettinger made 10 of his 19 saves in the third period. After BU’s Shane Bowers opened the scoring just 4:26 into the first, UNH posted back-to-back goals from Eric MacAdams and Jason Salvaggio to take a 2-1 lead by the 1:18 mark of the second. Salvaggio, MacAdams, and centerman Michael McNicholas all posted multi-point nights for the Wildcats; McNicholas had two assists. Adam Clark made 35 saves in his first start of the season. The game-tying goal before Greenway’s decider came from freshman Ty Amonte 6:55 into the third. The victory was BU’s first of the 2018 calendar year and second in their last five Hockey East games.
