St. Lawrence jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on the road at Union on Saturday, but a furious comeback highlighted by a pair of assists from defenseman J.C. Brassard guided Union to a 5-4 victory. The Dutchmen converted on two consecutive power plays with goals coming from Vas Kolias and Cole Maier, along with an even-strength goal by Anthony Rinaldi to take a 3-2 lead early in the second period. Philip Alftberg tied the game at three for St. Lawrence at 3:18 of the second period, but a power-play goal by Brandon Estes followed by a tally from Luc Brown gave Union back the lead at 5-3 at 6:59 of the third period. Mike Marnell struck back to cut it to a one-goal game for SLU at 8:35, but the Dutchmen hung on for the one-goal win.
