Desperately needing a win after losing to the depleted Broncos Friday night, St. Cloud still had to rally from a goal down twice before Easton Brodzinski scored at 15:32 of the third period to break a 3-3 tie and earn the Huskies the much-needed win. Brodzinski got a pass from Mikey Eyssimont and beat Broncos goaltender Ben Blacker with a quick snap shot top corner stick side. Dawson DiPietro put Western up 1-0 with a power-play goal at 19:53 of the first when he deflected Corey Schueneman’s shot in front. Western’s special teams were effective all night. Schueneman got a power-play goal in the third to tie it with a beautiful snap shot top corner stick side from the top of the slot, and Paul Stoykewych scored shorthanded at 14:22 of the second. Eyssimont had three points for St. Cloud in the win, including a five-on-three power-play goal at 5:50 of the third, picking up a rebound off the right post and ripping it into the open net. Blacker made 36 saves in the loss.
