The Wildcats of Northern Michigan won a close one in Hunstville after scoring late to make it a 4-3 game. NMU took an early lead when Zach Diamontoni scored shorthanded, giving the Wildcats some big momentum late in the period. They came out strong in the second with Joseph Nardi capitalizing on a power play to give them a two-goal lead. The Chargers entered the third period down 3-1, but eventually came back to even the score at three with 11 minutes to play. Troy Loggins was the difference-maker as his third-period, even-strength goal gave Northern Michigan the win.
