ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Anthony Nellis scored midway through overtime to lift Lake Superior State to the 3-2  road win over Alaska-Anchorage Friday night.

The ninth-place Lakers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening 12 minutes, 59 seconds of the WCHA contest on goals by William Riedell and Hampus Erikkson.

The last-place Seawolves battled back with a goal by Jeremiah Luedtke with 1:09 left in the first period to cut the visitors’ lead to 2-1. Alec Butcher tied the game at 2-2 midway through the third to force overtime.

LSSU goalie Nick Kossoff made 31 saves, 23 in the first two periods, while UAA’s Olivier Mantha stopped 22 shots, including nine in the third to help force extra time.
