The Bears hung with first-place Cornell for much of the game, but Alex Rauter’s power-play goal midway through the third period broke a 1-1 tied and help the Big Red maintain a four-point lead for first place in ECAC Hockey.

Matthew Galajda made 25 saves for Cornell, while Anthony Angello had two assists. Jeff Malott had the Big Red’s other goal, while Tyler Bird scored for Brown.

The loss extended the Bears’ winless streak to six games (0-5-1).
