Ryan Kuffner’s hat trick helped Princeton roll to 7-2 win over Rensselaer at Hobey Baker Rink Friday night.
The Tiger scored three goals in the opening six minutes of the game, and lead 4-0 after one period. Kuffner scored twice in the opening period, and then completed the hat trick early in the third.
It was the second hat trick of the season for the Princeton junior, who established a career high in goals and also moved past Harvard’s Ryan Donato for the second-most goals in the country.
Max Veronneau, Jackson Cressey, and David Hallisey all had three-point nights for the Tigers, while Ryan Ferland made 31 saves for the win.
Donovan Ott had a goal and an assist for RPI.
